Ufa, Lenin st. 13

From 27 to 29 March the children visited one of the most beautiful cities in our country – Saint-Petersburg. The city on the Neva River met young Ufa residents with a rich excursion program and unique colouring. Nevsky Avenue, Palace Square, the Admiralty, the Smolny Convent and the Taurida Palace, and, of course, the famous cruiser “Aurora”. On the first day the children visited the two largest churches of Saint-Petersburg – the Kazan and St. Isaac’s cathedrals. The world masterpieces of architecture impressed with their beauty, grandeur and rich history. Acquaintance with the city continued in the historical museum-maquette «Petrovskaya Akvatoriya». The children looked at the old manor houses, parks, palaces recreated by engravings and materials of museum archives, miniatures of ships of the Petrine era with rapture.

The program for the second day of stay in the city was no less rich and exciting. Our group was waiting for a tour of the Petropalovsk fortress and a trip to the museum-reserve located in Gatchina. One of the favorite places of rest for the royal family - the Great Gatchina Palace, built in the Russian country retreat style and an English castle, surprised with architecture and interior decoration.

On the final day of the tour the children visited two of the world's largest museums - the Russian and Ethnographic, as well as the Menshikov Palace, made in the style of the Petrine Baroque. This is the first stone building in St. Petersburg.

With full of impressions, a little tired, but happy, the children returned to Ufa.

   - St. Petersburg is very beautiful, special, majestic. I liked his architecture and history. You can endlessly walk and admire this city – Maxim Yemelev tells. - I'm glad that I had the possibility to visit this wonderful city.

   - I liked everything. Good hotel, tour guides. I remember the Petropalovsk fortress. Thanks to the organizers for such an interesting trip, - Salavat Sultanov shares his impressions.

And Timur Gazizov was most impressed by the Petropalovsk fortress:

-It is very beautiful. In this fortress there is the Petropalovsk cathedral, which is over 120 meters high. At the top of the bell tower there is the figure of an angel. The wing spread of this angel is four meters.

Undoubtedly, the trip to St. Petersburg will be remembered by the children for a long time. The group of 16 children on a trip was accompanied by the chairman of the trade union organization of the Ural seismic expedition of JSC "Bashneftegeofizika", Gulchachak Karimova.
